Description

I'm finding that Vimium isn't functioning properly for certain pages on the domain biomedcentral.com. Example: https://bmcpublichealth.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1471-2458-13-286. On these pages, I get the following behavior:

Firefox: scrolling commands work, but if I try to execute LinkHints.activateMode (or other LinkHint commands) it briefly displays a tooltip that says "Collecting hints...", then nothing.

Chrome: nothing works, as far as I can tell.

Oddly, everything works fine, in both Firefox and Chrome, for other pages on the same domain. Example: https://ijbnpa.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12966-016-0369-7.

Is this just me, or can others reproduce this?

Research direction

Reproduce the reported behavior on the BioMed Central URLs in Firefox and Chrome, comparing the failing bmcpublichealth.biomedcentral.com page with the working ijbnpa.biomedcentral.com page. Trace why LinkHints.activateMode stops after “Collecting hints...” and define done as scrolling and link-hint commands working on the affected pages.
