Description
Present: many forums, galleries and random sites got duplicate "link hints" (f) which make selecting right more complicated than needed or turns a page into xmax-link-tree.
Expected: more robust or configurable mechanism to suppress duplicate links
Examples: www.reddit.com (please add more, good for test)
Google Chrome 54.0.2840.71 (Official Build) m (32-bit)
Vimium 1.57

Research direction
Start by reproducing the duplicate link hints on www.reddit.com using Chrome 54 and Vimium 1.57, then collect additional sites that show the problem. Define what suppression should consider a duplicate and how configuration should work; done means link hints remain useful without turning pages into link trees.
