Describe the solution you'd like
I'm on macOS Tahoe 26.6. When I just launched pgAdmin v9.16, a message informed me that the v9.17 update was available, and I clicked through the initiate the update. The process completed and relaunched the app.
However, as a user, I would like for the update process to provide more detail on its progress. I would like a download percentage displayed so I can be sure that the network is working properly. I would like for the message to tell me when the download is complete and then provide a "Continue" option to initiate the install.
Further, I don't know where the downloaded update file was saved on my Mac, so I don't know whether it was cleaned up at the end. It would be helpful to know that.

The alternate is to manually download the DMG and handle it myself so I know all the details.
