Description

Goal

Move peterp.org hosting off GitHub Pages and onto Cloudflare Workers (running the new RedwoodSDK app).

Why

  • RedwoodSDK targets Cloudflare Workers; co-locating hosting with the framework is the simplest path.
  • Enables server-side features (RSC, server functions) that GitHub Pages can't serve.

Scope

Hosting cutover only. Code migration to rwsdk is tracked in #1; registrar transfer is tracked in #3.

Sub-issues

  • #10 Create Cloudflare Workers project for peterp.org
  • #11 Deploy rwsdk app to *.workers.dev subdomain
  • #12 Configure custom domain peterp.org on the Worker
  • #13 Cut DNS over to the Worker and verify
  • #14 Disable GitHub Pages and remove CNAME

Dependencies

  • Blocked by #1 (need a deployable rwsdk build first).
  • #12 is easier once domain is on Cloudflare DNS (see #3), but not strictly required.

Research direction

Start with the dependency on #1 and review the Cloudflare Workers custom-domain documentation and the RedwoodSDK quick start linked in the issue. Work through sub-issues #10–#14 in order, ending by verifying peterp.org serves from the Worker and GitHub Pages is disabled with its CNAME removed.
