Description

Karousel version: 0.11
Plasma version: 6.3.1
X11 / Wayland: Wayland

Description:

Since a recent update, not sure of what, when I click and hold on a window it removes it from tiling. This happens when I just happen to hold a bit long. It makes the window float and I have to use key commands to stack it , then unstack it, to fix the issue.

I double checked the setting "untile windows by dragging them" and it is turned off. I tried turning it on, turning karousel off (hitting apply), then turning it off and starting it again - this didn't work.

System reboot also doesn't help, but hey, I tried.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the window-tiling behavior on Karousel 0.11 with Plasma 6.3.1 under Wayland, using a click-and-hold while "untile windows by dragging them" is disabled. Trace the handling of held clicks, dragging, and the untile setting; done means a normal click-and-hold no longer makes the window float while intentional dragging still follows the setting.
