Description
Consider making the collapsed status of the menus on the left side persistent, so if you open a new category on the menus on the left, the one that is currently open stays open, rather than closing (which is , to me at least!) rather unintuitive and disorienting.

Research direction
Start by locating the implementation of the left-side menus in the website source and inspect how opening a category changes the other menus' collapsed state. Confirm the intended persistent behavior in the running site; done means opening a new category no longer closes the category that was already open.
