Description
Chronyd is default NTP client on Centios 7 but perfSONAR 4 installs ntpd and disables chronyd.
There are reasons of switching to chrond: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/ChronyDefaultNTP#Detailed_Description
If I disable ntpd and start chronyd then system time stay synchronized but perfSONAR say "NTP Synced No".
Is it possible to add chronyd support in perfSONAR?

Research direction
Start by tracing how perfSONAR determines and reports NTP synchronization, then locate where ntpd is detected or managed; the issue names no files or tests. Done means chronyd can be used on CentOS 7 without the GUI reporting that NTP is unsynchronized.
