Description
Had a neat idea for a pattern I keep repeating. Something funny happens in my hutch-python script and then I want to exit and look at the log. It is a slight pain to parse the long filename but would be extremely easy via script.

Research direction
Start by locating the hutch-python script and the code that generates or exposes the long log filename. Clarify the expected helper interface and how it should identify the latest log; done means the repeated post-exit log lookup can be performed through the script.
