Sometimes you need to save logs in cold storage for long term storage. HDFS is one of the choices when cold storage comes in.
Additional context
- There is can be a problem, what file format to choose for logs saving. Or give ability to choose file format for users?
- Authentication. HDFS can be under Kerberos authentication. For this users shold provide keytab file.
