Description

I had a thought today that it would be cool to be able to export the BGP message history as a .pcap file, containing the raw bytes of the sent/received messages.

That would enable the use of standard analysis/display tools like wireshark/tshark, tcpdump, snoop, etc.

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is named. Start by locating the BGP message history implementation and existing export or serialization interfaces, then determine the pcap format and how raw sent and received messages should be represented. Done means the history can be exported and inspected by the listed analysis tools.
