Description
Currently traffic from the switch zone is routed by Illumos based on its internal routing table, and bypasses the p4 routing code running on Tofino. This means that the packets will not have the appropriate vlan tag applied.
There are at least two different means to address this:
- Add a new table in the egress path, explicitly mapping source address to vlan, applying any missing tags.
- Modify uplinkd to create vlan links on top of the normal tfport link. This will cause Illumos to apply the appropriate tag before the packet reaches the tofino.

Research direction
Start by tracing the egress path and uplinkd handling of the switch zone, then compare the two proposed approaches: an egress source-address-to-VLAN table or VLAN links on the normal tfport link. Done means traffic routed by Illumos receives the appropriate VLAN tag before reaching the Tofino.
