Description
You can't ctrl-f the contents of the serial console scrollback — you have to use the search addon and write an explicit UI that calls searchAddon.findNext().

Research direction
Start by locating the serial console UI and the code that creates or uses the search addon. Read the @xterm/addon-search documentation, then trace how keyboard shortcuts and searchAddon.findNext() are handled. Done means Ctrl-F can search the serial console scrollback through an explicit search UI.
