Description

I currently have Overleaf-CE version 4.2.0 running in a Proxmox VM. I now need to upgrade it to the latest version 5.5.1.

  1. Is it as simple as running the upgrade script in the bin folder ?
  2. MongoDB version is 4.4 with Overleaf-CE 4.2.0. MongoDB 4 has reached end of line in Feb 2024. Do I need to upgrade that first before running the update script ?

Thanks for your help,

René

Research direction

Start with the upgrade script in the bin folder and the documented path from Overleaf-CE 4.2.0 to 5.5.1. Check how the script handles MongoDB 4.4 and whether a database upgrade is required first. Done means documenting the supported upgrade order and the required commands or prerequisites.
