Description

Which app is your issue for

Document Scanner

Version

v1.25.0 Build 160

What platform are you using?

Android

OS Version

Android 13 (ColorOS)

What happened?

When I'm attempting to scan certain pages I find that the camera tries to refocus while the app is taking the scan. On some pages this means that the photo occurs while the camera is completely unfocused and I can't take the scan at all. Enabling flash helps somewhat, but leads to uneven lighting so I'd rather avoid it if possible.

Is it possible to force the app to lock focus while taking the scan?

Research direction

No source file, test, or entry point is named. Start by locating the Android camera capture and autofocus handling in Document Scanner, then determine how focus behaves during scan capture. Done means scans no longer capture while autofocus is changing, including on the reported Android 13 setup, without requiring flash.
