Description

Some commands such as oci compute image create accept a --wait-for-state parameter, which blocks the command until the resource has the defined lifecycle-state, as described in the documentation.

The oci compute image import command does not accept a --wait-for-state parameter. Adding the same functionality for this command would be useful.

Research direction

Start with the oci compute image import command and compare its option handling with oci compute image create, which already supports --wait-for-state. Use the linked command documentation to confirm the expected option behavior. Done means importing an image accepts the option and waits until the requested lifecycle state.
