Description
Upstream the "make ctf" part somehow.
We have a ctf patch for the kernel.
Somehow this needs to be upstreamed.
There are two related efforts:
- Drgn debugger CTF support: https://github.com/osandov/drgn/issues/176
- CTF+BTF work in binutils: https://sourceware.org/binutils/wiki/CTF/Todo/CTFv4
Currently there is a kernel patch which is available in the dtrace-kernel github repo:

Research direction
Start by reviewing the existing kernel patch in the dtrace-kernel GitHub repository, then read the linked drgn CTF support issue and the binutils CTF v4 TODO. Determine how the kernel's “make ctf” work fits those efforts and what upstream acceptance path is required; done means the patch is appropriately upstreamed.
