Describe the bug
For several days now, ddclient plugin stopped updating records via IPv6. Tested with two different providers (Cloudflare, nsupdate.info), the result is the exact same. (Log below)
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to Services > Dynamic DNS > Settings
- Setup a DDNS client to use IPv6 addresses, regardless of the provider
- Go to 'Log File'
- See warning (Log below)
Expected behavior
IPv6 records update accrdingly on their providers
Relevant log files
2026-03-30T10:53:34-03:00 Warning ddclient Account ***REDACTED*** [cloudflare - ddclient] no global IP address detected, check config if warning persists
Additional context
ddclient still works for IPv4 records.
Environment
OPNsense 26.1.5-amd64
ddclient plugin version: 1.30_2

Research direction
Start in Services > Dynamic DNS > Settings and review the ddclient plugin's Log File while reproducing the IPv6 setup with Cloudflare or nsupdate.info. Compare the IPv6 behavior with the working IPv4 configuration and the reported “no global IP address detected” warning. Done means IPv6 records update correctly without that warning.
