Description

Router: Ubiquiti USG-3P
OpenWrt 24.10.0, r28427-6df0e3d02a
Tailscale 1.80.2-1

USG-3P is configured as an Exit Node.

Running a Speed test from a MacBook Pro connected to the Ethernet port of the USG-3P.
The log files on the USG-3P start filling up and Exit Node performance looks to be rate limited.
The console of the USG-3P becomes inaccessible.

Speedtest: MacBook Pro with USG Tailscale Exit Node selected and ON
Down/Up: 8.35 Mbps / 8.21 Mbps

Speedtest: MacBook Pro without Taliscale running
Down/Up: 52.93 Mbps / 18.44 Mbps

The problem is ongoing and the log files are continuously filling up.

Can I post log files privately?

Research direction

Start by reproducing the reported speed-test behavior on the Ubiquiti USG-3P with OpenWrt 24.10.0 and the Tailscale exit node enabled. Examine the continuously growing log files and compare the results with Tailscale disabled; done means identifying the cause of the rate limiting and inaccessible console or documenting the required fix.
