Research direction

Start by reading the linked OpenWrt issue 17943 and the two referenced forum reports, then reproduce the 5 GHz failure on the Xiaomi Mi Router 3G using the supplied /etc/config/wireless settings. Compare behavior with OpenWrt 23 and collect crash or kernel logs; done means identifying the driver cause and verifying that 5 GHz remains stable on 24.10.
