Description
I'm playing a little with mesh configuration and to not trunk over one wifi mesh different interfaces, I have done one mesh wifi network per interface, so, I could do it for 3 of them but the 4rd doesn't start (the last one defined in /etc/config/wireless), even anything shows in logread.
I could implicit disable any of the one that starts up and the last one starts up, so it seems like a number of mesh networks limit.
Normal AP networks doesn't matter, I have even disabled all of them, just 3 mesh networks allowed.

Research direction
Reproduce the issue using the mesh definitions in /etc/config/wireless and inspect logread while starting four mesh networks. Compare behavior when each mesh definition is enabled or disabled, then trace the MT7915E driver path responsible for mesh startup. Done means the three-network limit is explained and either corrected or clearly documented with supporting evidence.
