Any idea why might that be?

Start with mac.c around line 208 and the mt7603e module named in the trace; review the kernel 5.10.111 oops and the hostapd-triggered call trace. Reproduce on the Xiaomi Redmi AC2100 with OpenWrt 22.03.0-rc1 or another affected 22.03 release, then identify the cause and verify that the kernel oops no longer occurs.
