Description

I have a Xiaomi Mi 3 Pro. When I connect from my laptop to the router, I see that the RSSI signal level of the access point to all nearby networks (iw dev wlan0 scan) almost does not change. Moreover, this is more noticeable in the access point to which I connected. When I disconnect from the access point, everything is fine. When we are connected, the signal level by "iw dev wlan0 station dump " changes normally. The problem occurs only when scanning all nearby access points while we are connected to Xiaomi.

It appears on all devices that connect to the Xiaomi router. The signal level may freeze even when using the flush parameter in scan

Research direction

Start by reproducing the report with iw dev wlan0 scan, both while connected to and disconnected from the Xiaomi Mi 3 Pro, and compare the results with iw dev wlan0 station dump. Check whether the scan flush parameter changes the behavior. Done means RSSI values continue updating during connected scans, with a regression test or reproducible verification covering the case.
