Error building the firmware image

hi , I'm trying to upgrade my Xiaomi Redmi Router AC2100 from version:
Powered by LuCI openwrt-22.03 branch (git-24.208.65546-18f3914) / OpenWrt 22.03.7 r20341-591b7e93d3

to version: 23.05.5 (even though the hw page says latest is 23.0.5.4) . I got this error below:

I've had problems where it couldn't resolve downloads.openwrt.org since I have a seperate PiHole that operates DHCP and DNS for my internal network. I've added nameserver 192.168.1.251 to /tmp/resolv.conf and I can use:
opkg update --no-check-certificate

from the CLI , but trying from the webpage I get:

I've had these problems since my original install 22.03.04 RC1 (if I remember the version correctly).

Its possible I've got damaged configuration settings from me fiddling without truly knowing what I'm doing.

Start with the ASU request data in issue #1048 and reproduce the Xiaomi Redmi Router AC2100 build through sysupgrade.openwrt.org, then compare the image-builder output with the LuCI and opkg update errors. Done means identifying whether the failure is caused by package selection, conflicting SSL providers, or the reported DNS behavior, and documenting a reproducible result.
