Research direction
Start with the linked SugarCRM description and the project's dynamic format support. Determine whether crypt(md5($p)) can be represented there, and identify the existing format handling and verification coverage that would need to recognize these hashes. Done means the issue has a decided implementation path and the hash type is demonstrably supported.
