Research direction
The issue does not name any files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the tile cache implementation and how cached files record access times; then determine how a 512MB limit and least-recently-accessed eviction would be tested. Done means the cache stays within the configured limit while retaining recently accessed tiles.
