Description
Suppose someone were working on a new serverless api that adds a new read only setting to an index called x. What would be a good way for the opensearch java client to support users of serverless who wants to read the setting?

Research direction
Start by reviewing how the Java client exposes index settings and how serverless APIs represent read-only settings. Determine how setting x should be accessed and add coverage showing that users can read it; the issue names no files or tests, so repository exploration is required.
