Description
The current maintainer list is quite short, with only 2 being currently active in the project.
One purpose of this repo is to document project-wide polices, such as the code of conduct, maintainer responsibilities and nomination process, etc. As such it might make sense to have this repository owned by the technical steering committee.

Research direction
Start with MAINTAINERS.md and RESPONSIBILITIES.md, then review the technical steering committee repository linked in the issue. Determine whether ownership should move to that committee and what maintainer or nomination updates would be required. Done means the ownership decision is agreed and the relevant governance documentation reflects it.
