Description
Create a manual document that explains the end-to-end process for updating the Pharmacy First Monthly Dashboard. The process is manual and involves running an OpenSAFELY job, requesting release, and publishing the updated report.
Proposed Document Structure (Skeleton):
Overview
- What the Pharmacy First Monthly Dashboard is
- When and why it is updated
- Approximate timelines (job run time, release checks, publishing)
Prerequisites
- Required access (OpenSAFELY, jobs site, reports site, R/Python??)
- Files involved (config.py, pharmacy_first_monthly_report.Rmd)
Step 1: Update Configuration for the New Month
- Update config.py to extend date ranges by one month
- Update report_date in pharmacy_first_monthly_report.Rmd
Step 2: Run the OpenSAFELY Job
- How to run the job
- Expected runtime (can take a couple of hours)
Step 3: Request Release
- How to request release after the job completes (controls and context)
- Expected review timeframe (up to ~1 week)
Step 4: Publish the Released Outputs
- Create a draft publication on the jobs site
- Use the pharmacy-first-monthly-report workspace
- Submit for review
Step 5: Review and Final Publication
- Request review from one of: Louis, Colm, Rose, or Will
Step 6: Update Reports Site
- Copy the published report link
- Update the existing report on the reports site
