Description
This request came from some of the work around Long Covid where we want to use a very high level set of codelists to define symptoms, and then minus certain terms. For example:
respiratory_conditions_codelist - high level code with many hundreds of codes.
minus chronic_respiratory_conditions_codelist
This could be done manually, or via stata / python as an alternative.

Research direction
The issue gives an example of subtracting chronic_respiratory_conditions_codelist from respiratory_conditions_codelist, but names no files, tests, or entry point. First clarify whether this should be a reusable feature or a one-off manual operation, then identify the existing codelist workflow to extend. Done should include a defined subtraction behavior and verification using the example codelists.
