Description
#3062 Fixes two major data issues with ICD-10 as presented in OpenCodelists:
- Differences between the 2019 and 2016 (NHS-modified) editions used in different datasets in OpenSAFELY
- Missing fourth- and fifth-character modifiers
These fixes include a warning banner and notification email to codelist owners and codelist users where codelists are affected by these issues and guidance on how to update codelists to rectify them using the new functionality.
There are a number of OpenSAFELY-owned ICD-10 codelists. We should consider what we do about those that are affected by these issues.
There may be opportunities to update some/all of these automatically, or some may require clinical and/or research input to ensure they are updated appropriately.
