Research direction
The issue asks when AES-GCM encrypt/decrypt support will be released in lua-resty-string and notes that the current alternative is implementing it in C with OpenSSL. Start by reviewing the repository's existing release and cryptographic entry points; done means a maintainer-defined AES-GCM implementation and release plan, which the issue does not specify.
