Start by reading the linked LuaJIT issue 25 and OpenSSL issue 6864 for the additional details and proposed fix. Then inspect the Lua certificate callback path and reproduce the crash with OpenSSL async mode enabled. Done means async mode no longer crashes in the Lua certificate callback.
