Description
This is a suggestion to somewhere display the version info of the OpenML libraries which power the server, for example by displaying on openml.org/version something like:
Frontend (github.com/openml/website): commit-hash
Backend (github.com/openml/openml): commit-hash
Evaluation engine (github.com/openml/?): commit-hash
Elastic search openml plugin (github.com/openml/?): commit-hash
This would allow users to understand the difference between the development and the test server.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the OpenML website, backend, evaluation engine, and Elasticsearch plugin repositories, then determine where a /version endpoint or page belongs. Done means the deployed versions or commit hashes for the listed components are displayed so users can distinguish development from test servers.
