Understand the Epic

Since 30.03.2026 the openmcp-project GitHub organization is no longer under the guidance and governance of the SAP enterprise.
The openmcp-project now belongs to the NeoNephos foundation.
This means that the openMCP project has to give itself its own guidelines and policies that are in harmony with the NeoNephos foundation.
This includes but is not limited to the following points:

• Managament of organization members:
  • invite
  • removal
  • role assignment
• Management of organization repositories:
  • How is a project created? What templates are allowed?
  • How can a private repositories be made public? What requirements must be met?
• Upate of all documents in all repositories:
  • Remove SAP and SAP policy references and replaces with our own/NeoNephos
• AI Tools and usage

The goal of this epic is to create a policy/guideline document that will then be voted upon by the TSC.
The goal of this epic is to create/update repository templates.
The goal of this epic is to update all repositories in the openmcp-project and remove all occurances of SAP and replace with our own.

What is required to accept the Epic as finished.

• Policy/Guideline document created
• Policy/Guideline document accepted by TSC
• Create/Update repository templates
• Make all repositories in the openmcp-project compliant with the new Policy/Guideline and remove all references to SAP
