Description

Description or user story

We plan to use a simplified visual style for the support site, taking one or two key colors to carry the brand, but keeping it simple so the content is easy to access without distractions.

Proposed solution

We probably should mock this up to have a concrete proposal that we can approve.

A preliminary idea Siobhan and I brainstormed:

  • Dark mode has tan text, black background, and yellow accent color.
  • Light mode has black text, tan background, and red accent color.

Note that for both these modes, the text color and the accent color cannot touch, because the contrast is too low between tan and yellow, and between black and red.

Research direction

Start by turning the proposed dark and light color combinations into a concrete mockup for the support site. Check that text and accent colors do not touch where contrast is too low; done means an approved visual proposal.
