With one of our new journals, we developed a new workflow where docx files are converted to xml files. We spoke about a possible feature for this conversion to be implemented directly in Janeway.
Describe the solution you'd like
As soon as an Author submits a docx file, an editor can transform that file into xml with one click.
Describe alternatives you've considered
It could also be done by the author during the submission process.
Additional context
At the moment, we transform docx files to TEI-XML, which are displayed fine within the system. Maybe its possible for the plugin to transfom into JATS as well.
