Description

These recommendations come out of a UX investigation conducted in Feb 2025.

Potential improvements to discuss in backlog refinement. Some we will want to disregard, some include in next iteration, some may be for later iterations:

These are additional features that we can iterate on to make this interface better:

  • remove the term "base role" OR a warning when trying to delete the role
  • note to explain what active and inactive means
  • enlarge add user button
  • enhance scanability by shading the author names (or alternative?)
  • change add role list to only show those currently unassigned
  • change active/inactive icon to make less like a button
  • guidance on delete an account
  • More responsive search like in Search submissions so you don't have to clear filters each time
  • Ability to order by first name as well as last name
  • Priority given to name in search results
  • Make it clearer whether you are on press level or journal and provide a method of return
