Description
Discussion point on the relationship between TSML and Moving Features. TSML focuses on observations over a specified time period modeled as a timeseries of observations. Although not explicit, TSML 1.3 focuses on those use cases where the feature of interest is a Point feature - i.e. a static location at which the set of observations is made.
Moving Features supports the concept of sampling features that 'move' - e.g. a trajectory of observations across a feature of interest where the observer is moving both through space & time. An ocean drifter, a drone, etc...
For discussion is whether TSML is (or should) be a specialization of the Moving Features observation model for observers moving through time but located as a static point location.
