Description

Hi @openframeworks/core @openframeworks/git
0.12.1 is long overdue, but we're getting closer to a release thanks to everyone's work.

We're hoping to get 0.12.1 out in the next couple of weeks and then will be looking at a more structured roadmap for OF going forward.
The goal after 0.12.1 will be to make project maintenance and contribution easier, less complex and more robust.

Until 0.12.1 is out we won't be merging feature PRs only bugfix PRs, or things listed here in #7588

If you want to help, please check out the issue list at #7588 or download the latest nightly from:
https://github.com/openframeworks/openFrameworks/releases/tag/nightly and test it against your platform / projects

Areas that need specific testing include:

  • iOS Examples
  • Linux platforms that aren't Ubuntu based
  • Raspberry Pi / Arm
  • Windows VS and Especially msys2

If you run into any bugs / issues please comment in: #7588

Research direction

Start with issue #7588 and the linked nightly release, then test the listed platform areas: iOS examples, non-Ubuntu Linux, Raspberry Pi/ARM, and Windows VS or msys2. Done means identifying reproducible bugs during testing and reporting them in #7588; this issue itself does not name a code file or a bounded change.
