Description
Tested on LInux (Ubuntu Mate 19.04, of 0.10.1). Try this code snippet in setup():
ofSoundPlayer *soundPlayer = new ofSoundPlayer();
soundPlayer->load("test.mp3");
soundPlayer->play();
soundPlayer->stop();
delete soundPlayer;
ofSoundStreamSetup(2, 0, 44100, 256, 4);
ofSoundStreamSetup fails with the following error:
RtApiAlsa::getDeviceInfo: snd_pcm_open error for device (hw:0,0), Device or resource busy.
[ error ] RtApiAlsa::probeDeviceOpen: pcm device (hw:0,0) won't open for output.
AL lib: (EE) alc_cleanup: 1 device not closed
If all the ofSoundPlayer code is removed the error disappears.

Research direction
Start with the provided ofSoundPlayer load/play/stop/delete snippet and the subsequent ofSoundStreamSetup call on Ubuntu with ALSA. Reproduce the device-busy and unclosed-device errors, then trace the audio resource cleanup; done means deleting the player releases its resources and ofSoundStreamSetup succeeds.
