Description
I tried to use an external keyboard and mouse to write the response and see the output screen information, but was unable to.
I have two new kinects which are having trouble connecting to my macbook (non-retina, 2011 model)
When I run the example program I cannot use the keyboard on the mac, nor can I use the trackpad. I did manage to close the window using a USB mouse, but I could not use the keyboard, even after disconnecting the kinect.
I cannot tell what version of librfreenect should resolve this problem. Is there an updated ofxkinect that will solve this, or do I have to wait for the next version of openframeworks?
I don't know which portions of libfreenect code to replace to get this to work.
Using openframeworks 8.0 macosx, mavericks 10.9 and xbox kinect 1414.
(sorry, can't figure out how to add proper labels)

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue with the example program on the stated openFrameworks 8.0, macOS 10.9, and Xbox Kinect 1414 setup. Trace the interaction between libfreenect and ofxkinect, then compare their versions and documented compatibility. Done means identifying a confirmed cause or compatible version and verifying that the keyboard and trackpad remain usable after running and closing the example.
