Description

Summary

As an administrator or course team member, I want to be able to view pathway and competency data, so I have the full picture of what an individual learner is engaging with and achieving on the platform.

Problem Statement

With pathways and competencies being added to the platform in the Willow release, administrators and course teams will need to be able to view competency mastery data and pathway enrollment, engagement, and achievement data for individual learners, so that they keep track of what and how individual learners are doing on their platform and engage them when necessary.

Acceptance Criteria

Once this epic is delivered, the Individual Learner Dashboard will be filtered by the specific course that the instructor is looking at in the Instructor Dashboard. However, the Individual Learner Dashboard is not filtered by anything by default Superset (matching current dashboard behavior).

The user can filter this dashboard by one or more of the following filters:

  • Learner
  • A single pathway, course, or course run
  • By one or more pathways, courses, or course runs
  • By learning context (show me only pathways data; show me only course data)
  • By status (Started, Not Started, Completed)

All tables and charts throughout the dashboard filter based on these dashboard filters.

Once is completed, embedded Individual Learner Dashboard tab does not render at all if all PII is turned off for the instance.

Note: I've included a rough low-fidelity mockup that I used Claude to help me create below. This mockup should be used to help with questions about layout.

Research direction

Start with the Individual Learner Dashboard and the existing Superset dashboard behavior described in the acceptance criteria. Review the linked work for the PII-dependent rendering condition and use the attached low-fidelity mockup to clarify layout. Done means the dashboard supports the listed learner, pathway, course, context, and status filters, with all charts and tables updating accordingly.
