Research direction

Start with the related Epic, openedx/openedx-app-ios#99, since no files, tests, or entry points are named here. Reproduce the iOS upgrade from edX to open edX and investigate the listed login, downloads, calendar, and IAP findings. Done means the migration preserves the expected user state and course data, and the reported calendar behavior is verified.
