Description

It should be possible to see the count of selected objects (to help user understand scale of migration, and mitigate cross-screen select and filter behavior ambiguity).

Came up in Jan 9 libraries sync as a follow-up for https://github.com/openedx/edx-platform/issues/37327

This should ultimately be moved to a future libraries epic once designs are defined, if needed based on legacy libraries deprecation timeline.

Research direction

No file, entry point, or test is named in the issue. Start by reviewing the linked follow-up issue and the January 9 libraries-sync context, then identify whether a design or future libraries epic defines the selected-object count. Done means an agreed design and an implemented count that resolves the cross-screen selection and filtering ambiguity.
