Description

Placeholder issue to track this usability issue, UX/UI updates needed before this is ready for development.

Image

Long titles are cut off in full page authoring views, cards, sidebars, and child objects. We may need updated designs to:

  1. Show longer titles by default in full-page authoring views for sections, subsections, and units
  2. Allow some way to see the full title, regardless of length, without editing it

Research direction

Start by reviewing the attached screenshot and the full-page authoring views, cards, sidebars, and child objects named in the issue. Before implementation, confirm the updated designs; done means long titles are shown more fully in authoring views and users can see the complete title without editing it.
