26.915.31945

What subscription do you have?

pro x20

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 25.6.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

Any chat requests in GPT Pro result in the message “Thinking failed,” meaning the system isn't working, even though the status doesn't reflect this (https://status.openai.com). Using other modes in other chats works fine.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Research direction

Start with the Codex App's handling of GPT Pro chat requests and use feedback ID no-active-thread-01a0baf3-b750-75e0-9c39-601bfd35cf93 to trace the failure. Reproduce the “Thinking failed” result with the reported Pro subscription while confirming that other chat modes still work; done means GPT Pro returns responses normally.
