What issue are you seeing?

I am using Codex CLI 0.155.1 on Windows 11 with WSL/Linux, invoked through a Python subprocess runner for read-only repository analysis.

The command uses codex exec, --json, --output-schema, --output-last-message, and --sandbox read-only. The requested model is gpt-6-astra, with model_reasoning_effort="ultra".

Observed behavior:

Ultra runs repeatedly fail to produce a completed result. I have tried external timeouts of 1200 and 1800 seconds without success.
In one inspected failing session, the recorded tool calls and spawned subagents completed, but the root agent never produced the final JSON or a completion event before the run was stopped.
The Python runner ultimately reports a subprocess timeout.
A medium run of the same repository-analysis workflow completed successfully in approximately 274 seconds, with exit code 0, turn.completed, and schema-valid JSON.

One failing run also logged:
codex_core::tools::router: error=live agent path '/root/workflows' not found

Execution continued after that error, so its relationship to the failure is unknown.

Please investigate where execution stops and confirm whether ultra is supported and correctly applied for this model and CLI configuration.
