Description

What variant of Codex are you using?

Codex App

What feature would you like to see?

Add a “Show archived threads” toggle beside the back/forward navigation buttons. Turning it on should include archived threads alongside active threads in the sidebar; turning it off should hide them again.

I archive threads to keep active work tidy, but want to browse them without going into Settings.

Additional information

Related: Restore archived chats access from the main Codex UI. This request is specifically for a toggle controlling the existing sidebar list.

Please use a 👍 reaction to support this request rather than posting “+1” comments or adding unnecessary details. This keeps the issue focused and helps the Codex team gauge demand when prioritizing requests.

Research direction

Start in the Codex App's existing sidebar thread list and archive handling, then review the related issue about restoring archived chats access. Done means a toggle beside the back/forward controls includes archived threads when enabled and hides them when disabled, without requiring Settings.
