Description

What variant of Codex are you using?

Codex App

What feature would you like to see?

Please add a setting that lets users choose whether the global dictation hotkey starts dictation with a single press or a double press. The current double-press-only behavior disrupts established workflows for users who previously used a single press. Keeping double press as the default is fine; an opt-in single-press option would preserve both accidental-activation protection and existing muscle memory.

Research direction

Start by locating the Codex App's global dictation hotkey handling and its settings entry point. Done means users can choose single-press or double-press activation, with double-press remaining the default and both choices working as described.
