Description
I'm experiencing a persistent formatting issue in the ChatGPT Windows desktop app.
The problem began on September 17, 2026. Initially, responses displayed visible code instead of properly formatted text. After uninstalling and reinstalling ChatGPT, the visible code disappeared, but responses now display with missing paragraph breaks.
I've already tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and resetting the Windows app. None of these steps resolved the issue.
I tested ChatGPT in Chrome's incognito mode, and responses display correctly there. The same response displays incorrectly in the desktop app but correctly in Chrome.
This appears to be a Windows desktop app rendering issue. Please investigate whether this is a known bug and whether a fix is available.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the formatting issue in the ChatGPT Windows desktop app version 26.911.7940.0 on Windows 11 25H2, then compare the same response in Chrome incognito mode. Done means responses render with the expected code formatting and paragraph breaks in the desktop app.
